self-contained Bush Camping in quiet, secluded bushland setting, away from traffic, on private property

Level sites with trees or no shaded areas to choose from

6km east of Mareeba township

Vehicles of all sizes welcome (alternate entrance option for Big Rigs)

Road access on property is kept in good condition with easy access

Communal Fire Pit for Happy Hours / Camp Cooking

Water available

Fenced parking area with caretaker on property

Toilet facilities with ramp access

Pets permitted (restrictions apply)

Bush walk to creek, native fauna & seasonal birdlife (brolgas etc)

Tinaroo Creek on property ~ through bushland, great for swimming etc

Cash payment upon arrival. Bookings not essential but you can call ahead in peak times (May-Oct) if you wish.

Non-potable water may be available. Boil all water for at least 10 minutes before drinking.

Fires may be allowed in built fire places. Please check local fire bans and rules.

Location information for Ringers Rest RV Park

Access

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there

SEALED road access right to parking area - suitable for ALL vehicle types.

From CAIRNS, as you drive through Emerald Creek (where there is a fuel station) you are only about 10km from Tinaroo Creek Road turn off.

Turn LEFT onto Tinaroo Ck Rd. There is a large, cream Ranbuild shed called “PGG Wrightson Seeds” near the turnoff

* The turn into Tinaroo Ck Rd is a sharp turn, so do take it slow

300m along turn RIGHT on to Fichera Road – you will see the sign for Ringers Rest on the signpost

* Watch for the narrow bridge just along the way

Follow Fichera Rd for about 3km. On your LEFT, look for black silhouette “Ringers” resting against the gate posts

First driveway is Management Residence... you drive on to the

Second driveway (100m further ahead) is the ENTRANCE to Ringers Rest Venue & RV Park

From ATHERTON or MAREEBA, Tinaroo Ck Rd (on your RIGHT) is the next large intersection after the Anzac Avenue turn off to the Mareeba Bowls Club. Then follow directions 2...4 above :-)
