Bush camping along bush track near Koombooloomba Dam.
Bush camping (no facilites) is permitted along Nitchaga Road that lead off Tully Falls Road. You pick your own site as there are no defined camping areas.
Although most of the track is fairly thickly forested, there are cleared flat sections that are excellent if you like to camp away from everyone (I do) and can do without facilities (I can).
Although this is basic bush camping, you still need to book and pay by phone or internet before heading out. If you are camping next to your car, or have a camper trailer, you must camp near the road (no driving through the bush) although if you don't mind walking, you can head into the bush for a bit more privacy.
Open fires are prohibited, so you will need to bring your fuel stove (as well as food and water). Some insect repellent would be handy too.
