Lake Dyer Caravan Park
Well established campground run by council on the edge of Lake Dyer
Gloryvale Reserve
A pretty, free campsite on the Manning River with some shallow (and cold) swimming holes, suitable for caravans.
Sheba Dam
A beautiful free campground on the banks of Sheba Dam, surrounded by natural bush in the hills above Nundle.
Swamp Creek Reserve
Great little free campground on the banks of a creek near Nundle
Bowling Alley Point Recreation Reserve
This is a large campground, suitable for tents through to caravans on the banks of Chaffey Dam (near Tamworth) NSW
Roses Park
This is a medium sized site with one half terraced and the other half a gentle but contoured slope towards the bush-lined river.
Nymboida Canoe Centre
Creek front camping, near the Nymboida/Binderay National Parks.
Boorkoom
Camp right on the edge of the coast near a rocky outcrop and direct access to some of the most un-spoilt beaches in NSW.
Sandon River
Sandon River on one side and the ocean on the other, this well established campground is an excellent spot for the camper with a tinny. There is a boat ramp, amenities block and public phone so you won`t feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
Red Cliff and Grey Cliff
Just south of the Lake Arragan Campground,Grey Cliff and Red Cliff offers a true coastal camping experience.
Lake Arragan
On the northern side of the Yuraygir National park, this campsite (just north of Red Cliff Campground) offers lakeside camping for the water lover. This is a lovely lake for swimming or canoeing / kayaking.
Tooloom Falls
A great free campground, overlooking the impressive Tooloom Falls.
Andrew Drynan Park
With rainforest and Mount Chinghee as a backdrop, this is a spacious campsite with plenty of room for vans and campers.
Leyburn Reserve
Open grassy campground suitable for caravans on the edge of Canal Creek on the edge of Leyburn, QLD.
Yarramolong Weir
Great little free campground with a small boat ramp on the banks of the river near the Yarramolong Weir.
Heifer Creek
On the edge of Heifer Creek, this is a large grassy campground suitable for vans or a tent.
Rocky Water Hole
Basic bush camping near a rocky waterhole on Moonie Creek.
Bowenville Reserve
This is a large shady campground on the banks of Oakey Creek, suitable for caravans, and right on the creek for fishing, swimming and kayaking.
Surat - Fishing and Restocking Club
This free (donation) campsite is close to Surat on the banks of the Balonne River.
Caliguel Lagoon
A great, well maintained free campground on the banks of Caliguel Lagoon.
Swinging Bridge Park
Large, flat, grassy, free campsite on the edge of the Cooyar Creek, with no facilities.
Coochin Creek
This open, flat and shady campsite sits on the edge of Coochin Creek in the Beerburrum State Forest, only 90km north of Brisbane.
Chinchilla Weir
Limited number of sites on the banks of Chinchilla Weir.
Judds Lagoon
Large, level and free campground on Judds Lagoon, suitable for caravans.
Charlie Moreland
A pleasant campground with a nice little (kid friendly) swimming hole.
Cedar Grove
Nice open and grassy campground in Amamoor State Forest. Suitable for caravans.
Six Mile Creek Rest Area
Not a bad spot, suitable for an overnighter.
Dickabram Bridge
Nice Grassy, free campground, suitable for caravans on the Mary River.
Log Dump
Campground right on the Kauri Creek in Tuan State forest with toilets and a boat ramp.
Tiaro Memorial Park
Overnighter in rest area/park in Tiaro Town.
Wongi Waterholes
Basic bush camping on the edge of the Wongi Waterholes.
Sharon Gorge Nature Park
A 24hour maximum, free campground in the Sharon Gorge Nature Park, about 10km west from Bundaberg.
Boynedale Bush Camp
Camping right on the edge of the dam, with large grassy and level camping areas.
Calliope River Rest Area
A very large reasonably level, and grassy camping area right on the Calliope River.
Cressbrook Dam
A well established campground on the banks of the Cressbrook Dam, suitable for Caravans
Archer
Archer campground, in D`Aguilar National park has open grassy campsites, a beautiful swimming hole in Neurum Creek and lush vegetation.
Tia Falls
This is a beautiful (and surprisingly free) campground right on the edge of the spectacular Tia Falls in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park.
The Settlement
A well established and maintained campground in the spectacular Springbrook National Park, near the Gold Coast.
Manna Gum
Large, grassy campground next to Dalrymple Creek, and surprisingly surrounded by Manna Gums
Crows Nest
A popular, little campground, only a short walk from a great swimming hole.
