A great, well maintained free campground on the banks of Caliguel Lagoon.
There is plenty of room here to park a caravan, and some nice level grassed sites for tent camping. The toilet block is well maintained and even has a disabled/baby change room in the centre as well as an outdoor shower at the back of the block.
There are rainwater tanks that supply the amenities block, and last time I was there, the water was excellent. To be on the safe side, you should probably boil it before drinking though.
The lagoon itself is fairly small, however there is a good quality boat ramp for launching a boat. The water can be a little murky at times, but it is stil a nice spot for a swim and a great spot for kayak fishing. If you are around in late summer or autumn, the purple water lilies put on a magnificent show.
