A free campground, just out of Sofala on the banks of the Tron River.

This is a basic free campground with no toilets. There are a couple of fire places (bring your own wood).

It is the closest free camp to town, and still on the Turon river.

This is one of a few free campgrounds on the Turon around Sofala. Say thanks by leaving the place in a better condition than when you got there (and buy your supplies in town).

Access

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there

Take the road towards Mudgee from Sofala. About 200m after you cross the bridge is a dirt track that leads to the campsite.
