River front camping with sandy beach. You can quite often get this site to yourself.

Bring the rod to try your hand at the trout. Swimming holes, fishing and great walking tracks through either through the bush or up the firetrails.

Keep your eye out at dusk and dawn for platapuses in the water holes

Location information for The Beach

This campsite is in Abercrombie River National Park

Swimming, canoeing, fishing for trout; just some of the fun available at the three waterways running through Abercrombie River National Park are many.

Access

4wd only access.

Getting there

This is a 4wd only campground but should be OK for decent campertrailers.

Take Abercrombie Road south from Oberon for 32km

9km past Black Springs, turn right onto Isabella Road.

Travel 25km through Vulcan State Forest on Blue Road to Arkstone Road

Follow Arkstone Road to Abercrombie River fire trail

Take the steep trail down to the campground (low 4WD recommended)
