Adjacent to the Namoi River, this is a well maintained, 4wd access only, campground in Warrabah National Park.
Although I have been out here a few times I always keep wanting to go back. The Namoi River in this section is spectacular, particularly after a bit of rain, however to see the best of it, you will need to go rock hopping. Just around the bend is a beautiful gorge with some deep holes which make for better swimming than the stiller water near the campsite.
NOTE: This campsite tends to get a few locals having a beer (or two) on Friday/Saturday nights.

No bookings are available. A self serve pay booth is at the main picnic area at the entrance to the track leading to Gum Hole. Make sure you pay before heading up to Gum Hole, or you will have to track back a few kilometres to the picnic area.

Being one of the few inland parks in NSW that has access to a large river makes Warrabah a great spot for warm weather. The picnic area and most of the camping areas are within a stones throw of the water, which has some great swimming holes.
4wd only access.
The main access to the park is from Manilla (approximately 37km). About 500m west of the bridge, the road leads off the highway to the north. There are a couple of turns that are well signed. Most of the way is well maintained dirt road, but can get less pleasant in the rain.
Once at the main picnic area, follow the signs for a few more kilometres. This is a fairly easy track but a bit of clearance helps on all the berms they have put in for erosion control.
