Large, grassy and fairly open camping area in Hanging Rock State Forest
The campground is made up of mainly grassy sites, and surrounded by a mixture of native trees and old pines. There are picnic tables, long drop toilets and wood barbecues.
This campground is probably a good alternative for those with a caravan or large camper as it has more room and larger, more level sites. There is about 8km of good quality dirt road to get in though.
Ponderosa Park is free to camp in.
This is a free camping area.
No bookings required. There is plenty of room and this is not usually very busy, so you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot.
