Two forested camps by a picturesque mining ghost town near a broad mountain river, surrounded by steep forested slopes.

Most sites slope a little, are well shaded (some by oaks). Tree ferns abound. Popular canoe landing point. On the original coach road to Walhalla.

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there

From Traralgon : West 3k on the Traralgon West Rd [C477], north 6k on the Tyers Rd [C481] to Tyres, north 23k on the Tyres-Thomson Valley Rd [C481], right (east) 2.6k down Coopers Cr Rd (gravel). Check Coopers Cr Track to the river crossing
