About Chichester State Forest

There are two main sections to this State Forest, Allyn River is the western area of the park and contains a number of campgrounds. Telegherry River is Eastern side.

Chichester is a scenic park onthe southern side of Barrington Tops National Park. There are a number of picinic and camping spots in the park and great swimming holes in the Allyn River

Things to see

Peach Tree Park

At the start of the Allyn River Rainforest trail you will find this scenic picnic site, with tables and some interesting walking opportunities.

Mout Allyn lookout

Excellent views of the surrounding park, the road to the lookout (Mount Allyn Road) is unsealed and passes through a variety of vegetation types including eucalypt woodlands and Antarctic Beach cool temperate rainforest.

Ladies Well

A very popular swimming spot with waterfals and some nice pools

Mining and logging equipment

There is a collection of old logging and mining equipment at the Telgherry Forest park.
