Eight Mile Creek Campground

Eight Mile Creek has picnic tables There are areas available in Eight Mile Creek for horse riding You are able to canoe in Eight Mile Creek

An ocean-side campsite that nonetheless provides sufficient wind-breaks on firm (but not limestone-hard) grassed areas.

This is a much better option than the Brown Bay free campsite (really a glorified carpark) a few kilometres further east, particularly for those with tents.

50 metres gets you the beach and a bird reserve. Dogs are probably not that good an idea here. There's also a fresh-water creek flowing into the ocean closeby that looks like a good bathing opportunity...
