Popular lakeside campground on the edge of Lake Colac.
How close you are to the edge of the water depends a lot on the amount of rain, and recent drought has seen low water levels and a long walk to the waters edge.
There is also a good quality boat ramp, that only becomes a problem when the water level is too low.
The campsites are mostly level and grassy with minimal shady sites. The waters edge is gently sloping and easy launching for canoes or access for swimming.
There are wood fired barbecues (bring your own firewood), rubbish bins and flushing toilets as well as town drinking water avaiable from a couple of taps..
This campground is maintained by council as a free camp, so do the right thing and leave it tidy and do your shopping in town to say thanks.
