On the shores of an almost circular lake, thought to be formed by a meteor.

The camping area has hot showers, and laundry facilities as well as flushing toilets, sheltered picnic tables, fire rings and wood barbecues.

To use a power boat on the lake, you need to seek permission from the Yarrie Lake Flora and Fauna Reserve Trust. This means that usually it is nice and quiet and perfect for canoeing and swimming. The water is a little murky, however this is just a side effect of the soil types here and it is fine to swim in.

There are caretakers that live in the house next to the lake (lucky them) and you should let them know before setting up camp (if they are in).

This is a beautiful little lake and attracts a wide variety of birds.
