Goomeri Show-grounds is available for RVs of all description.
Close to town the grassy sites mostly have access to both power and water, at the time of writing (Sept 2014) the Goomeri Show Society is in the process of adding sites.
Powered site cost $15 per night, unpowered $10.
Goomeri, like many small rural towns, is feeling the effects of changed economies with many closed shops and some struggling, the townsfolk, via the show society is trying to attract tourists. Each year in May, a pumpkin festival is held here and this attracts upwards of 20,000 people. Sadly we were told that 2013 may have been the last time...we truly hope this information is incorrect.
Its an attractive area, a short drive (11km) to Kinbombi Falls is worth the visit.
The town also has a large Emporium with country type clothing although it was a tad disappointing to see so much RM Williams gear having been made in China!
There are approximately 8 sites with another 6 under construction.
