Free camping in the rest area, next to the highway and alongside Morphet Creek.
This is a basic free campground suitable for caravans and tents. It is (like most of this country) open, dry and flat, but that is part of the charm of this part of Australia.
The rest area is actually in tribute to the explorer, John Stuart who was "encouraged" to return from his adventures by the Warumunga people. John McDouall Stuart was attempting to cross the continent in 1860.
As far as facilities go, there are toilets here, and a water tank, but not much more.
