Campground right on the edge of the ocean in Cape Hillsborough National Park
The camping area is level and well shaded and easily accessible by caravan/camper and 2wd vehicles. There are well shaded spots with views of the ocean and excellent amenities.
You can access the beach directly from the campsite and there are a number of walking tracks (as well as many miles of beach) for exploring.
This is a beautiful stretch of coastline with white sandy beaches and is very popular with fishermen.
It is also a turtle nesting site, so be careful when walking on the beach not to trample the nests. If you see turtles, keep your distance and don't interfere with them.
Be mindful of the fact that esturine crocodiles may be around, also box jelly fish, so swimming is at your own risk. (Stinger season is October to May however they can still be present outside these dates, thanks to rising sea temperatures)
Fires must be off the ground so no ash and coals are left on the ground.
