Secluded campground on the edge of the Mary River in Mary River National Park
The campground is set lower than the lookout so you don't get the excellent views from your tent site. When I was here, there was someone camping in the day use area, so I guess they realised the same thing.
There are a few scattered trees for shade, surface is mainly gravel/dirt, but reasonably level.
Note: Saltwater crodiles live in the Mary River. As you would know, they like to eat people. Please do not feed the crocodiles, the search and rescue operation is expensive.
