Well established and popular campground on the Mary River, near the barrage between salt and fresh water.
There is a viewing platform for spotting saltwater crocodiles and a boat ramp if you want to go out and see them closer (or catcha barramundi). Fishing here is, of course, spectacular, and there are charters available nearby if you don't have your own boat (or need some guidance).
The campground itself is very well established and has picnic tables, wood barbecues, and pit toilets.
Note, swimming, or hanging around too close to the water here is playing Russian Roulette. There are crocs everywhere, so keep an eye on your kids.
