Beardmore Dam Youth Club Campground

Apparently, this campsite is on the grounds of the Beardmore Dam Youth Camp on Thungaby Road, North-East of St George......off the Carnarvon Highway - the bitumen road to Beardmore Dam.
The Youth Camp is on the Eastern side of Thungaby Road -the higher ground. Companion and I were told about this site when camped at nearby campground on River side of Thungaby Rd, so did not try it this time.
Other camping sites on the Web filled in a few gaps about these grounds. Imagine Camp could be busy/unavailable during school holidays.
Friendly caretaker on site, so check first about camping. I was advised Vans are welcome, and if there is water available, (hot) showers and washing machines are available for Gold Coin donation. No 240v power, and campers should be self-sufficient.
I'll check this campground next time heading Outback, and would appreciate comments from anyone visiting the area.

Thungaby Road - bitumen road North to Beardmore Dam, North-East of St George. Follow signs, and Camp is located on Eastern side of Thungaby Rd.
NOTE: Google maps photo shows Baloone River in flood, and Thungaby Rd flooded in places.
