A pleasant, green bush camp on a large, grassed clearing, (mown by kangaroos) in the broad lightly treed valley of the Glenelg River, off a quiet country road.
An old forestry camp site on a slight rise above flats subject to inundation. Surrounded by Red River and Yellow Gums and wattles. It is possible to get shade and privacy under the trees behind the clearing.
Nearby creeks may be dry in summer. Wildflowers, kangaroos and ducks are common.
[Bush camping is permitted in the Grampians National Park anywhere except Wonderland Range & Lake Wartook watershed - for vehicle camping the problem is finding access off the roads - this is one of 3 suitable informal sites we know of]
