Cooks Mill

A pleasant old sawmill clearing (partially revegetated) sheltered in a forested valley near the bubbling Little River.

Doctors Creek Reserve


Running Creek Reserve

Very pleasant, quiet camp in State Forest by the Howqua River near the junction with Running Creek.

Frys Flat

Pleasant grassy river flats surrounded by the forested foothills of the alps.

Buttercup Creek

Five zones (signed) dispersed over 4k of un-maintained but firm road. Most sites backed by farm paddocks.

Howqua 8 Mile

A relatively large clearing (an old hut site) providing a pleasant, green, level, grassed (wallaby mown), riverside circuit.

Carters Sawmill

A reasonably pleasant hill side clearing surrounded and shaded by Peppermint, Candlebark, Blue Gum and Stringybark forest with an understory of scrub near the Delatite River and Plain Creek.

Grannys Flat

A very pleasant, level, narrow, grassed green flat extending along the rushing Jamieson River.
