The Bjelke-Petersen Dam, completed in 1988, creates Lake Barambah and is a popular camping and fishing location in South Burnett.
Fishing
Fishing is popular in the dam, with perch, bass and saratoga all stocked regularly. A permit is required to fish in stocked impoundments. Red Claw, and eel-tailed catfish are also present.
There is a large fishing competition in October each year (The Bjelke-Petersen Dam Classic) which attracts a large crowd.
There is a good quality boat ramp from the recreation / camping area at Yallakool Park on Haager Drive.
