OVerlooking the Daintree River, right in the Daintree Village. Caravan and tent sites plus cabins.
View of the Daintree River from the campground are stunning, the outdoor barbecue area looks down on the river and etty and almost all sites have views of the water.
The park is always excellently presented with well maintained lawns and gardens, and spottlessly clean ammenities.
It is the perfect place to base yourself for exploring the Daintree Region. Leave the van and explore further north of the river (where towing is difficult). There is a pub in town that sells meals, a cafe and general store. Woolworths and petrol stations are only a short drive back to Mossman.
The park has a takeaway/cafe and a small "Australiana" museum with some very interesting pieces.
The campsites are grassy and high above the river (don't worry, no crocs will wander into your camp in the night).
A number of tours depart from the village, the most popular being the one hour Croc Express tours operating from 8.30am - 4.30pm daily and the Daintree River Wild Watch 2 hour early morning and late afternoon wildlife / bird watching tours.
There are two levels (the park is on a hill). The higher site is for power and the lower for unpowered. The lower, unpowered site is the most attractive, so if you don't need the hookup, I would probably choose that.
Park Management Comments
Just metres from the boat ramp and jetty, Daintree Riverview is the perfect accommodation for the early morning and late afternoon bird-watching river tours, the renowned crocodile spotting river cruises and fishing on the Daintree River.
As you enter the Daintree Village, the park is on your left (opposite the hotel/general store)
