An extended grassy flat along the Lock River, surrounded by forested hills, adjacent to a little used forestry road.

All sites are level, most are shaded by poplars, apples and tall Mountain Ash in an open, park-like setting, surrounded by wattles and blackberry.

The small Loch Creek is a great little trout fishing creek. It is a fairly narrow and shallow and feeds the Latrobe River. Mainly brown trout can be caught off fly, but apparently there is rainbow trout in here as well.

Gravelled internal access roads but some grassed areas may be boggy if wet (fenced off 2004). A very pleasant site, popular with groups. 2 tables 1 BBQ

Rated 4.2/5

Kookaburras, wrens, magpies, black rosellas and mopoke owls are common.
