On the banks of the Barcoo River, and on the edge of town, this campsite is suitable for caravans
The campground can get very boggy if it is wet due to the black soils, and there is a tar area you can park in if it gets wet. The area is a flood plain so you wouldn't want to be camping there in the rain anyway...
The wool scouring plant in town is well worth a visit and is an excellent demonstration of old working machinery. No OH&S problems in those days I suppose, hate to get caught up in the chain driven wheels.
