This picnic and camping area next to the Arve River is amongst the forest and ferns and a stones throw from the water.
This campsite would make an excellent base for exploring the Arve River and surrounding forests. The river is easily accessed by a set of stairs (which you should use rather than clambering down the bank).
Large tree ferns and towering gums surround a grassy camp area with covered picnic tables and fire places with swing away barbecue pits.
There are a number of walks near this campsite and taking in aptly named (probably understated actually) places like Big Tree Lookout -with a viewing platform, Keogh's Creek, the Look In Lookout, West Creek and Lookout you will be spoilt for choice... and don't miss the Tahume Forest Air Walk
