Two camping areas, one with horse yards, in Kosciusko National Park.
Perfect for the man from snowy river, the campground on the east allows you to camp with your horse.
North of the hut there are campsites for the equineless camper.
The area is open and grassy and with evidence of early settlement throughout the area. Apart from the obvious hut (built in 1916), there is also remnants of old sluice mines.
The nearby Yarrangobilly Caves are a must see and an easy day trip from this campsite (only a few km south west). For more information on the caves see the National Parks Website
