Community managed, free campground on the banks of Julia Creek suitable for caravans or tents.
Rubbish bins and picnic tables as well as fireplaces are provided.
They are now providing push bikes to allow you to easily access the town. This is a pretty cool initiative and deserves some expenditure in town (even if you don't ride the bikes in there).
Free camping suitable for caravans. Say thanks by leaving the place tidy and doing your shopping in town.

Permits (free) can be obtained from the visitor information centre in town. In peak seasons an onsite caretaker may be present to issue permits.

Non-potable water may be available. Boil all water for at least 10 minutes before drinking.
Fires may be allowed in built fire places. Please check local fire bans and rules.
Wood barbeques are available. Bring firewood and check firebans.
