Basic bush camping below the dam wall of Lake Julius (best to check if camping is still available).
There are conflicting reports on if camping is still permitted here and the upgrade works may have impacted on this.
This is pretty dry country but very attractive all the same.
For those with a boat (or persistent shore based anglers) the dam can offer up the odd Saratoga, Sooty Grunter or Barramundi (very rarely) r most likely lots of catfish. Still a lovely stretch of water to have a fish on.
For those with a kayak or canoe, the dam offers the chance to see a freshwater crocodile, although they are very shy and you will need to be quiet to spot them.
