Apparently camping is prohibited at this location with the risk of an on the spot fine.

This is a great spot for a weekend away from Perth. There are numerous opportunities for camping, from on the beach to behind the dunes.

There is a large stretch of beach and multiple dunes and tracks to explore.

Some of the tracks (and there are many) around here are quite soft sand and require lowering the tyre pressure and keeping the momentum up. It is a popular spot in the warmer weather for the weekend warrior crowd who yearn to get their 4wds into 4wd.

Some nice fishing, swimming and surfing spots along the beach.

No facilities, and pitching a tent in the sand can be challenging, so bring sand pegs.

There is a great review of the area (and some 4wd tips) in the video below from ruts4x4

4wd only access.

Getting there

There area few different tracks that lead into the dunes and to the beach. The easiest one to find is the one from the Wilbinga Grove Rest Area off the Inidan Ocean Drive. Best to let the tyres down here as it gets soft after this. The track winds through the dunes and ends up at the beach after about 10km
