Set beneath tall eucalyptus trees by a small creek – too shallow for adults to swim in, but kids should be able to have a decent splash.
Although it's only about 50km from Canberra it feels remote.
You might see red-necked wallabies, and a wombat or two. Grab yourself a map and water and go for a bushwalk, or a 4WD on some of the park’s fire trails.
