A basic but well grassed and shaded campsite in Upper Big River State Forest in Victoria
Right on the Arnold Creek, this site is usually not too crowded. There are open grassed areas well suited for tent camping and enough space for camper trailers.

An attractive bush camp - the most pleasant in the Upper Big River area.
Rated 4.5/5
A gently sloping, grassed and shaded clearing near the bubbling Arnold Creek. Being an old house site there are a number of exotic plants including pines, oaks and plums as well as Blackwood, wattles and Mountain Ash. Some sites are separated by shrubs.
Wrens, tree climbers and kookaburras are common.
Reids does not appear to attract trail-bike or 4-wheel enthusiasts.
The old Reid Quarry and a small grassed clearing is across the creek (bridge demolished).

The gem in this state forest is the heritage classified Big River, however with many kilometers of forest roads, it is a great spot for car/4wd based exploring.
This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.
The track leading into this campsite can get washed out at times but is usually OK for 2wd vehicles. 4wd is fine.
It is about 27km from Marysville , Victoria on Big River Road in Upper Big River State Forest.
The campsite is accessed off the Big River Road via Reids Road just east of the Big River campground.
