On the banks of the Yea River, this campsite offers a pleasant, shaded and well maintained area to spend a night.
The campground is on the cricket oval, with a pitch in the middle of the oval. There is an area for caravans/campervans to park, or you can carry your gear through a gate to set up tents on the grass.
Although the camp is almost right in Toolangi, it still has a bush feel thanks to the tall Mountain Ash.
The reserve is maintained by a volunteer committee of local residents, so please do the right thing, and leave the place better than you found it. Also please consider making a donation for the upkeep of the campground (to P O Box 250, Healesville 3777). Also make sure you do your shopping locally to help support the locals.
Pets are permitted, under firm control to avoid disturbing wildlife and neighbours.
There is tank water available at this campsite, suitable for washing.
It is recommended to bring your own drinking water. Flush toilets, electric barbecues, and a covered picnic area with tables are provided.
The creek is not suitable for swimming, and children should be supervised.
A small camp fire may be allowed in built fire place. Please check local fire bans and rules. Bring your own firewood and ensure any fire is fully extinguished before leaving site.
In summer the oval is used for cricket most weekends. There are no bins - all litter must be taken away. Please do not camp or park vehicles by the river where access is required for refilling fire-fighting vehicles.
