Stretching for 100km along the coast from the Murray River entrance, this National Park is a haven for a number of coastal and migratory birds.
The string of coastal lagoons along this section of the coast make for excellent canoeing spots. The are calm and well sheltered from the coast. Of course, you can also access the ocean here if you have a surf ski or sea kayak.
Beach fishing is very popular along this stretch of coast, and if you have a 4wd, there are camping sites that you can pitch a tent right near where you intend to fish. You can watch the sun set over the water whilst cooking your salmon or jew fish over an open fire.
With 100km of beaches, you will never run out of places to walk to, however there is one short interpretive walk which is more history than nature.
