Fairly open rest area suitable for an overnight. There is room for small vans and picnic tables.
Not the most attractive "bush camping" experience but more than adequate for a an overnight on the way to somewhere special.
It is right near Tambo if you need to restock or refill.

Location information for Stubby Bend Rest Area
This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.
Off the Dawson Development Road on the north side of Tambo, QLD.
If you are travelling on the Landsborough Highway, turn north in to Barcoo Street (Dawson Development Road). The entrance is about 100m on your right.
