Good facilities and camping on the edge of the dam.
This is a popular weekend spot for the locals with fishing, skiing, canoeing and sailing being the main attractions.
It is also starting to become quite popular with the grey nomads (it is a free camp) so you may need to camp away from the main facilities to get a bit of space to yourself. Fortunately there is a fair bit of foreshore accessable (especially if you are tent based) so you should find a spot no worries.
There is a good quality boat ramp if you brought the tinny. There are also wheelie bins, flushing toilets, picnic tables and shelters.
It is a well known fishing location (permit required all year round). Silver Perch and GOlden Perch, Barramundi and Australian Bass are all stocked (and regularly caught) here. There are also regular fishing competitions held.
