Bush camping on private property with a fairly hefty fee.
This is a popular private camping area in a beautiful rugged valley with a variety of camp areas. There are 4wd tracks throughout the property and you can collect your own firewood, before having a hot shower.
It is aimed as a family friendly campground and with 15km of creek along which you can camp or swim as well as grassy areas and bush sites.
There are sites suitable for 2wd vehicles and caravans, some of the others will require a 4wd to access. Apparently some of the 4wd trails have been re-opened recently (provided you pay the extra fee).
This might be a good starter for those wishing to try camping for the first time, but want the security of knowing what to do and that there will be other people around.
It is one that I would avoid again in the future as there are a number of alternatives around, including Main Range National Park and other private campgrounds.
