Sandon River on one side and the ocean on the other, this well established campground is an excellent spot for the camper with a tinny. There is a boat ramp, amenities block and public phone so you won`t feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
Although this is a large, popular campground, it still offers the nature lover a chance to have some peace and quiet with access to a number of walking tracks and large stretches of unspoiled coastline.
For the fisherman, the choice of ocean or estuary within a stones throw of your camp, this site is a must.

Children under five are free and child rates apply to 5-15 years.
During NSW & QLD school holidays and long weekends a minimum camping fee of $24 per site per night applies.

No bookings can be made for campsites in Yuraygir National Park, first in first served. Camping fees are collected by a ranger who will visit you at your campsite. There is a 3 week maximum for all campsites in the this park.

A large, unspoiled and undeveloped stretch of coastline makes this a great area for those who like to get some sand between their toes without sharing the space with cafes and pubs.
This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.
At the end of Sandon Road off Brooms Head Road, snput 30km drive south east of Maclean.
From the Pacific Highway, turn east on Jubilee Street and continue on Brooms Head Road for about 20km.
Turn right onto Sandon Road and follow for approximately 7km
