A relatively pleasant, extended, level gully between dunes, grassed (short) with some shade from Manna Gum and banksia, surrounded by bush covered dunes which provide protection from winds.
This campsite is very popular, I have stayed several times and there is always someone here. The site is long and has about 4 different areas where you can get around 2–5 staying in each area. Dogs are allowed on a lead and there is no horse riding because the site is a dead end. There is one drop composting toilet and no water available. There is a possibility of picking up firewood from the dunes area where there are quite a few trees but there is none to be cut and no firewood supplied so bring your own. The site has good access to 90 mile beach and Woodside Beach and Woodside are both accessible by car although Woodside Beach can be walked to along the beach about 8 km away. Yarram is the nearest town of any size where most things are available, this is about 18 km away. Jack Smith's Game Reserve is located at the other side of Woodside Beach. Beware, there are Foxes in this area so keep your dogs inside at night.
In wet weather only the front 2 areas are accessible by 2WD as the track to the back gets waterlogged and slippery, you will get bogged and stuck if you try in a car, be warned it's 4WD only in the wet.
This site gets busy, especially during school and public holidays and there are often caravans using the site so get there early to avoid disappointment.
