Council maintained campground on Warrell Creek, great spot if you have a kayak.
This is not the most scenic campground, but if you have a kayak, you can disappear around the corner of Warrell Creek and have the place to yourself.
Warrell Creek follows north along the coast for about 6km to meet up with the Nambucca River, just before it exits into the ocean. You can then head back upstream along the Nambucca River.
Heading upstream (south from the campground) the Warrell winds its way for about 10km back to the Pacific Highway. Very pretty stretch of water.
Drag a lure along with you and you will come back with dinner, almost guaranteed.
The campground is pretty level, and grassy but is usually busy in warmer weather.
You can also get to the beach by crossing the Warrell and heading overland for a few hundred metres.
Water is supplied by a water tank from the town supply. The toilets now also have solar powered lighting and are currently undergoing a refurbishment.
Cold water shower.
