Just off the highway at Wallabadah, this campgoround is large, level and on the banks of the Quirindi Creek.
There are picnic tables and free barbecues as well as two playgrounds for the kids. The campground is just behind the "First Fleet Memorial Park" which is quite interesting (if not a little curious for an inland town). The memorial has the names of all those who arrived on the first and second fleet carved into the stones.
The creek here is narrow and shallow, however quite attractive and does seem to bring the birds in. There is one larger pool that looks promising for a bit of a swim if the weather allows.
The picnic area has free electric barbecues and sheltered tables as well as a lovely view of the lawn and creek.
The campground is right near the New England Highway, so expect a little road noise from the trucks at night.
