With free (cold water only) showers, plenty of room to park a van and large grassy areas for a tent.
The campground is quite large, and mainly flat and grassy. There are scattered gum trees throughout so you can find a bit of shade. There is a maximum of a 2 day stay.
Just behind the rest area is the Castlereagh River which is not a bad spot to throw a line in and cross your fingers for a decent sized yellow belly or catfish. If you have the kids with you, try some corn kernels on small hooks and you are almost guaranteed a carp. They are not much good for anything. Don't forget carp are a pest so don't throw them back.
