Well established campground run by council on the edge of Lake Dyer
Lake Dyer is a stocked impoundment (so QLD fishing licence is required). It is stocked with Bass, Yellow Belly, Silver Perch and Cod.
The campground has hot showers, barbecues (gas or timber) and picnic tables as well as powered sites. There is also a childrens playground.
This is a popular dam with skiers and often has races, so would be worth checking in advance if you are after peace and quiet! There is a good quality boat ramp.
There are more than a dozen powered sites as well as plenty of grassy non-powered sites however the dam can get packed out when an event is on or long weekends / school holidays. You will need to book in advance to avoid being disappointed.
They do allow pets here if you have prior approval. Best to check when booking.
