Beautiful little free camping area on the edge of the water in Lake Ratzcastle Lake Reserve.
This is a seasonal lake so relies on recent rain to fill. The water attracts numerous birds and wildlife which make this a great spot to sit, relax and get the camera out.
Depending on the water level and quality, a kayak would be easy to launch and would get you close to the birds.
Showers, flushing toilets and sheltered picnic tables are provided.
A few short walks around the lake, you could spend a few days here spotting wildlife and wandering around. Very peaceful.
Plenty of shady spots with a water view, would suit tents, camper trailers, or caravans.
Check fire restrictions, and bring your own wood.
Pets must be kept on leads.
