Pleasant grassy river flats surrounded by the forested foothills of the alps.
Level, very open, limited shade. Good gravel access tracks. Cattle mow grass. Poplars, Peppermint and Manna Gums shade some sites. Magpies, ducks, wombats are common. Good swimming hole.
Features Frys Hut, 5 BBQ pits, 2 WC blocks, horse yards.

From Mansfield [B320]: East 21k on the Mount Buller Rd [C320] through Merrijig, right (south) 18k up then down the Howqua Hills Rd (gravel) over the Howqua River. through Sheepyard Flat Camp, turn right 4k on gravel, narrow, winding track. [Ford across the Howqua River from Howqua Hills is closed]
