Millers Point is a quiet and generally well sheltered camping area overlooking the Beaufort Inlet.

Suitable for tents, RVs and caravans when entrance road conditions are good. Entrance is via a somewhat steep dirt road, however in the summer months when conditions are dry then most RVs and caravans should be able to enter/exit the campground without issue.

However in the wetter winter months, the dirt road may be muddy and pose difficulties for caravans/RVs and possibly 2WD vehicles.

The campground is 40 minutes from the closest town (Bremer Bay) although basic supplies can be purchased from the small roadhouse 5 minutes away at Boxwood Hill.

This campground is perfect for small boats, canoes and kayaks as you can camp right next to the water (although these spots are in high demand). There is no paved boat ramp, launching is via a small beach only.

Parts of the inlet are very calm and sheltered, although shallow and rocky in a lot of areas. Seek guidance from locals before exploring the inlet in powered boats. There are unofficial channel markers. Larger boats may have difficulty launching and traversing the inlet.

March flies can be very bad, be prepared with fly screens and repellent. Winds in the area can be very strong, so consider this when setting up your camp. Some areas are more sheltered than others.

Smaller estuary fish can be caught in the inlet such as Herring, Black (River) Bream and Whiting.
