From Laguna, head south along Great North Road for about 1.6km (look out for all the letter boxes), then turn right onto Yango Creek Road, follow for 2.2km before turning left onto Upper Yango Creek Road.
Alternatively, from Wollombi, join Yango Creek Road in the town just northwest of Wollombi Tavern, and follow for approximately 10km to Upper Yango Creek Road.
Continue along Upper Yango Creek Road for 2.4km then turn right after the small wooden bridge and cattle grid and go up the hill onto Finchley track. Follow for 9.2km, passing Finchley lookout.
Continue west, veering right onto Yango track, and follow for 13.5km to Big Yango entrance and the locked gate.
Through the gate, follow the trail 5km to the homestead then follow the trail between the homestead and pine trees. About 3km further along, you’ll pass over a sandy causeway to arrive at the campground.
