Large camping area for about 8 groups with individual clearings separated by some bushes.

Fairly shady with tall trees and close to the King River.

There are some deeper water holes but generally shallow for wading and sitting on the rocks.

Access

4wd only access.

Getting there

Follow the Upper King River Rd southwards from Whitfield past the end of the bitumen where it changes to a 4WD track (for about 7km) and continue around Lake William Hovell and along Top Crossing track past Evans Creek Track, across Evans Creek and past Buckland Spur Track until it crosses the King River. The camp site is then on the right. It is suitable only for tents and camper trailers due to 4wd access.
