Nice spot off the road, near a usually dry creek bed.
This is an informal bush campground with no facilities. The ground is level, and mostly sandy/scrubby.
The adjacent creek has a little water (dependent on rainfall).
A beautiful private spot, with abundant wildlife, shade and privacy. The area is suitable for tent based camping.
This is a great spot for bird watchers, and the Gilgais attract many species. The iron barks and cypress forest has a unique beauty, and a real "outback" feel to it.
We were lucky enough to spot emus a couple of times, but unfortunately missed snapping a photo.

4wd only access.
On Old Coghill Rd in the northern section of Pilliga National Park. There is a couple of sections where you can get the car in off the road, just walk in first to check. Remember this is a National Park, so tread lightly and leave no trace of your camping
