A reasonably large, level cleared circuit, surrounded by Peppermint forest with tea-tree understory above the rushing Taponga River.

Short grass, well shaded. A pleasant camp, not as popular as other Lower Big River sites, probably as it is not on the Big River.

Access

This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.

Getting there

On the Taponga River by the Eildon-Jamieson Rd.

Access from Eildon: South 2k on the Goulburn Valley Hwy [B340], left (south east) 31k on the Eildon-Jamieson Rd, left 100m on gravel access track just before the second Taponga Rv bridge, opposite the road camp. Not signed. The first (traveling from Eildon) of the Lower Big River sites.
